This is a picture of a glass coffee mug. On a black foam board, I put a booklight into it to make it glow, and used a flashlight with red cellophane over it to get the highlights on the handle.

In Photoshop I have cleaned the background a little as it was a bit noisy from the long exposure used, adjusted the colours and sharpened it.

Great Neon Colors-- is the handle painted with a laser pen?

Totally awesome shot. Horrid border. [9]

is that a kettle? or an upside down teacup?

the border seems a bit distracting. i like the effort on the lighting to truly define the shape (i'm guessing a tea kettle?) of the object.

Nice image, good use of a laser and limited light. (I assume) 8

The more I look at this, the more I like it. Just enough information to enable you to make out the shape, and I love that you used the colors to sort of separate elements of the subject. On an emotional level, this shot has moderate impact for me, but I do find it interesting to look at.

A Kettle? A Teapot? I will have to wait and see
Clever idea

i think the color is a little more emphasized than the shape but i like the image. i woud like it better and think it would emphasize the shape more if there were no border.

Very subtle but it works, beautiful use of negative space and lighting the outline of the kettle (?) to emphasize shape. Very creative composition. I like how the border is done, mind sharing your technic? 7

An interesting effect, but too minimalist for my taste.

Great use of light, I like the way you did this, the different colors of light add wonderful detail to your subject 9
