 UGH, this is probably going to do poorly. I'm so disappointed with the quality of this photograph, but proud I pulled it off in the circumstances I was in. This was taken in good 'ol San Fran on Sunday from inside of a van through the window while driving 80 on the interstate. I was there with my teammates for a weekend of regattas (I'm a rower for UCF). Given a tripod on the side of the road and a few minutes, I would've gotten a much better result I suppose. Hoping for a 6, that would be FRANTASTIC (ha, she makes jokes too!) but not getting my hopes up. much love! :)

thanks to everyone for the awesome comments! i got a 6.5, wayyy beyond what i thought, and a second personal best. i appreciate the two comments that told me about the size of my file, totally helpful for future sumbmissions. thanks everyone! since this was taken in the circumstances listed above, the quality of the picture was horrible, and i obviously edited quite a bit, and took advangtage of this expert thing. :

I had to come back and see who took this, and I have to say the editing you did on this is amazing, especially seeing your original. And I have tried to help out quite a few people with the file size thing, and this has to be the highest scoring entry with the smallest file size I have seen so far in a challenge! Simply a marvelous shot.

think this is totally fantastic .... just love the simplicity of this image ... love the contrasts .. love the colours ... and that boat ... like wow ....
edit after reading the rest of your comments !! ... and wow again for the great focus on that bridge while you were going 80 and thru a window .....

you should try and get your file size upt to to size limit, which is usually 150 kb, yours is 20 kb, try this tutorial and it will help you get higher scores. :) And thats a great shot of the bridge.

Very nice flow of light under the bridge and I like how the small little sail boat catches the light as well and balances the composition nicely.

There are so many things to like about this image...the way the bridge just seems to grow from the hillside, the beautiful misty golden light, and the boat which perfectly states the scale of the scene before us...nicely seen.

This is very nice, I really like the composition. However, take better care when you save it next time cause it will help you score better, this image is only 20kb and you are allowed 200kb so chose better quality next time, there is some really bad artefacting going on around the bridge.

Great image however where the bridge disappears there is still lightness, therefore it should not end into the blackness so soon.. nice composition though.

This is very nice and simple. The colors are great. The only problem I have is it seems the sailboat and some of the yellow parts seem rather "pixelly"(yes...I did make up that word). Very good use of negative space though.
