I like the idea, but the postprocessing of the eyes makes them look very unnatural

How on earth did you get the eyes like this? That and the hair really make this photo stand out! I love how you made the composition off-center. Wonderful shot.

The eyes look over sharpened, and I find this distracting. Nice job on the hair though.

Good idea; possibly this could have more impact if rotated 90° (ie portrait orientation).
