Judy,
I thought this was a wonderful shot, but I try to be strict on challenge definitions. If it would have been macro or bug you would have gotten at least an 8 from me. I was your only 1, so it didn't matter. Keep up the great "natural shots' Van |

Great colors and clarity. Beautiful light and composition. No need for a butterfly to make this a stunning shot! One of the best in the challenge IMO. Bumping to 9. |

I didn't mark your score down for not meeting the challenge, but I don't think that is technically an insect. |

excellent. 8 for now. Well, dang, I need to be consistent here. I'm docking 2 points for not being a true insect. If any shot is going to fool the masses and do well without being an insect, this is it. Changing to 6. |

Oh my word.....count the legs....there's more than six....bet you some people are going to explode about that little fact. As for me I am just going to say, great shot and mark it accordingly |

Not really an insect I'm afraid - but it's a nice picture anyway, so I'll give you a 6... (would have been higher if you had met the challenge) |

Reminds me of the acrobatic beetles on the movie, "It's a Bugs Life". Great detail. Good dof. |

One of my faves of the challenge - and the only pill bug around. I have always loved these bugs. Nice clean detail, simple compostion, great colors. Bumping up to 9. Good luck! |

I don't know if a "doodle" bug is an insect or not, but after trying to photo some myself this past week and having the little boogers roll up and roll away all I can say is WOW. What a great capture of the little buger! - 9 |
