 When the hair challenge came up I immediatey thought of my friends Jaclyn and Taryn who both have amazing really really long hair. Since this was expert editing I thought of how I could do something interesting with the extra rules and an image similar to this popped into my head. I originally tried doing this with her back completely to me so that you were facing the smaller face head on. It looked cool but it wasn't as realistic as this angle so I went with this one even thought it wasn't what I had pictured at first. Editing....took about 6 hours to get the hair around the face right. In the smaller picture I had hair already on her fingers so I had to adjust its lighting and coloring so that it would blend in with the hair in the big picture and then it was just a matter of selective erasing using three layers, the big picture, the small picture, and then the big picture again to bring some of the hair from the big picture in front of her hands. The lighting and stuff I left alone since I did it in the theatre so it was really even and nice and brought out the color of her skin.

Nice idea, reminds me of the movie "The Grudge" but the quality and focus of the shot will bring you down unfortunatly.
