 Shot with 105mm f/2.8 VR macro lens in RAW and converted using Nikon Capture NX, then edited in PS CS2. I used a piece of black velvet as the background and a southwest facing window as the light source. I cropped a bit, used USM at 20, 47, 3 for local contrast enhancement and also did a bit of curves adjustment. I probably also used a bit of Smart Sharpen after I'd resized but I can't remember for sure. Essentially, though, this image is almost exactly as it came from the camera. I love the idea of expert editing, and normally it would be a big help to me. It just happens that this time my editing was almost minimal.
