 Haven't entered any challenges for ages & when I saw 'insects' thought that I'd have trouble finding any .... but ! The little b****d lily beetles have arrived early ! So after picking around a dozen of 'em off my lily plants, I forced this one into a shoot in the conservatory. Would've liked bit better focus (not to mention removing the stray beetle poo noticed too late on the leaf) but couldn't face re-shooting. Apologies for title; I thought he looked like he was wearing a red bandana and sunglasses.

Lovely, but maybe I would have liked it a little more saturated? Though the soft colours are interesting too :)

Depth of focus lets this one down - I need those antennae to be sharp!

I would have given higher, but focus seems to be a problem. Maybe you need a larger aperture? What bugs me (no pun intended) is the lack of focus on the antenae...

eyes should be in focus, otherwise grat composition color etc.
