 For this shot I had to crawl on my belly to get the right angle. I have no idea how high this photo will score but I think it has enough shape to meet at least the challenge. Let’s see if the voters like it.

As I shot on ISO800 I had to use NeatImage to remove the noise. After a small change of colour balance, contrast and brightness the photo was ready. I used my 70-200mm for this shot.

Greetings from the Critique Club!

This is a delightful image, well suited to the Shapes challenge but also interesting on its own. Great tones and colors. Each mushroom has its own unique character, which is well captured here. The leaves among the mushrooms add variety and texture, although I agree with the several other comments that the out-of-focus foreground is distracting. The mushrooms in the background add depth and continuity; keeping them out of focus emphasizes their distance and prevents them from competing with the subjects. But I think the depth of field is just a little too narrow; I'd have liked to see the pair of mushrooms to the left of center near the top in focus, as well as the small one towards the right.

Good photo, but a slightly tighter grouping / cropping would help.

I think that cropping the foreground out of this may have made it look better. The unfocused part in the front draws my attention.

This is really neat. I love the shallow DOF field; really makes your subject stand out. Somehow looks a bit dark; using Levels might brighten it up. still a very nice image. Jacko. 9

Simply beuatiful. dof, contrasts and sharpness perfectly done. Only slight downfall, the harsh brown leaf in left foreground, but this is minimal.
