These are small rubber cups used for polishing teeth when you go to a dental office.
By making this a contest, I thought it would be an interesting way to get people to really spend some time looking at my picture and fun for me to see the reaction. Thanks for your comments.

Thanks to everyone who took a guess or commented on my picture. I̢۪m sorry that nobody was able to guess the correct answer. Judging from the score, I guess it wasn̢۪t a very good picture so I am probably somewhat to blame. Either that or you all are not making it in to your friendly dentist to get your teeth cleaned at least twice a year as you should! I hope everyone took this little exercise in the manner in which it was intended. That was, to have some fun and get people to look just a little longer at my picture. In the spirit of good will, for all those who did comment, please email to me your address and I will send you a free (unused) toothbrush! Thanks again to everyone for taking the time to comment and play the game.:)

This is a pretty crap photo but a fun sub-challenge! ;)

Shot is noisy and rough looking and the objects are unaesthetic to me. Bet you get loads of responses though. I'm not guessing 'coz I'm chicken - and I won't be the first!

Looks kinda like the hubs of audio cassette tapes, but I don't think that's quite it ....

I think it is the bottom of a anti-slip bath mat (check //www.floormat.com/safetybath.html) :). While there are plenty of shapes, the photo itself isn't that appealing. You could have made this picture more interesting by using a different light or POV.

I'm definitely not going to win anything on guessing what these are! They look like some kind of button to me. An interesting, visually engaging shot, and I like the black and white, though I tend to like a wider tonal range. I think a different lighting angle, creating some interesting darker tones would make a more powerful composition.

Bean bag ashtrays? An interesting pattern shot with interesting shapes. Black and white works well, and the high key adds to the effect.
