 there's something about the esthetic of those coin feeders on the washing machines in laundromats that is so appealing. And these things suck a fair ammount of money away from me, so i figured the subject was appropriate enough...

this laundromat is just around the corner from my house, yet i always seem to have to run out of clean clothes completely before i will end up there.

the lighting conditions weren't the best - i'm now resigned to shooting everything in iso 50 since i realized anything higher on my G3 just blows out the pixels into noise. so i had to use a slow shutter and try and keep a steady hand since i have no tripod. most of them didn't end up coming out, but i kind of liked this one the most anyway, and it didn't turn out too bad.

i hope no one notices you can kind of make out my hand and a bit of the camera in the reflection...

Could you not have included the actual slot? The price tag is as subtle as a brick. I think you are let down a bit by DOF. The foremost part of the iamge could be pin sharp.

Unusual and unique shot. I like it very much. I think this is bang on for the challenge.
The focus is just a little soft, however just a little. Good work.
