 I don't know who Nathan is but I hope this submission is not out of context. I had some other ideas for this challenge.Again this is all new to me so I am experimenting with lighting, subject matter and post processing. I had another photo for this subject that was similar but this is the one I'm going with. Difficult to photograph yourself!

I am pretty pleased with the finish.In retrospect I should of portrayed the the message much better. This was supposed to represent someone working out in front of a mirror. I was unable to get a shot with the frame of the mirror in it that I was happy with.

The crop is overly distracting to me. If the weights on the left were not in there I think this would be more appealing.

Fitness for using dumbbells, as I use them myself. But vanity
for taking a photo of oneself using said dumbbells. :-)
Okay, that was jealousy. My arms don't look that great yet.

IMO the dumbbell on the left side of the photo is distracting.
And also the lighting is a bit dark. Generally being on the dark
side is good to show definition of the arm, but having it a bit
brighter, will still show definition. B&W is an interesting choice.
Not bad or good. Color could have worked as well. I gave this a 6.
