Laurie, the 10 was mine; I am so surprised and disappointed to find that this only placed at 126. You used the contre-jour technique effectively, and in the way that I understood it to mean; the photograph is well composed and aesthetically pleasing, and holds lots of interest outside of a mere study of the technique. All in all, very good work - and the fact that it is a photo that has such personal meaning for you makes it even more special; I am glad that you are able to use photography as a way of coping with your grief - I am sure Byron would adore this photo! |

Boy, if you could have exposed this to get more detail on the bird you'd have an amazing shot here. |

This is beautiful. but true contre jour doesn't have much bokeh as the photographer is looking into the light. I'm sensing it is off to the side somehow. |
