 This is my daughter. She loves to dress like a princess so my mother-in-law buys her pagent dresses to look pretty in.

Used Shadow and Highlights, contrast and made it black and white instead of color. Also used Selective Color to make the black less grey.

Sorry don't remember the Aperture, ISO, or Shutter speed.

I agree with some of the previous posts regarding the flip flops and turning her head slightly more towards the camera ... I think that the lighting is fine ...

Very nice, great pose, making good use of the interesting dress she has on. I might haven thought it was slightly underexposed, but that doesn't detract overall for me. (Definitely not too bright.)

Cute kid, pretty dress, hair is nice and seated position is classic.
The lighting is overly bright. Slightly dimmer lighting,
and a slightly softer focus would be a good alternative.
And having her face turned more towards
the camera, either full or three quarter angle,
might work better.
Otherwise, A lovely portrait.

Very cute picture. The pose is elegant, looks like you have a little ham on your hands! ;) Only thing I might've had her take the flip flops off, just doesn't quite match the dress... just my 2 cents

Mary, I think this is just lovely! I love her pose. It makes it look more candid. Like she's unaware of the camera, and you have captured her just enjoying being her sweet little self. Her natural looking smile makes you feel like there is such a precious soul behind the princess look :) I love this photo. I think it will be treasured forever.

Just a couple of things that I notice. Others may have different opinions :)

1.Her face is not showing and she looks like she miiiight have a pretty smile over there :) I always prefer most of the face.

2.Her left arm is cut off right at the shoulder. I would like to see that arm in the picture.

3. Your POV is looking down. This might be okay if she were looking up instead of down but this way it makes it look a little like she is hiding from the camera :)

The black and white is lovely, I would kill for that dress (not for me for my daughter), and you have great tonal range going on here :)
