Think this needs a better surroundings to highlight the "out-of-placeness" factor. |

Nice atmosphere, but you gotta wish there was just a bit of wind. =) |

I get the concept, but it might have been better with something in the picture that looked modern to give it context. |

Nice use of contrasting somber greens and bright red. That said, flags are kind of cliché and that can sap a decent image of a lot of its power. |

The composition is good, and I like the clarity against the (apparently) Southern Mountain backdrop. The title fits the picture. |

Simple, yet right on the mark for this challenge. It's amazing isn't it, how the Civil War still remains a viable subject 140 years later. There still seems to be an article or two in our local paper every week, mostly from a historical context (Central Virginia). The blown out sky is going to wreak havoc on your score. Good luck. |

I like the shot - not sure about the title - Guess it depends on your view of the Flag - States Rights or racism? |

I really like this shot and the title is fitting. The fog is a nice touch, and although I'd usually want to see a flag in the wind, the limp defalted nature of it adds to the idea nicely. |

Not to put to fine a point on it, but it's not an "idea"; like it or not, it is history, and it is heritage. And this is not an example of an anachronism. |

slightly DNMC... the surrounding environment does not give a clue for the flag misplaced in time. |

Hmmm. I'm from Richmond, Virginia so I find this an intriguing concept. I like the execution as well, with a nice muted-color background to offset the interestingly tattered flag. |

I hope you left the explanation of the idea in your description.
The confederate flag isnt a real symbol of slavery. I guess things get misconstrued in time. 13 stars that eventually came to not represent the same states anymore. |
