I panned and zoomed at the same time, and that's why the back of him is blurry and the front isn't. I was experiment :)
I took this at the collegiate race in Corvallis, Oregon. This is the beginning of the road race. It's of three girls form Whitman...they started at the back of the pack. I was panning with the middle girl, which caused the other girls to blur really wierd. I seriously could NOT decide which photo to submit...I think this one is unique because of the blurs, but there's a panning +zoom shot of a guy that is much more colorful. He's yellow and red and really pops out from the bright green grass. And I also have a cool shadow one...I hope I made the right choice!
I cropped, cloned out sensor dust, shadow/highlight, levels, hue/saturation, sharpen, size and save for web.

| I love how the man in the middle is slightly in focus, while the other two appear almost ghost-like. Very interesting. |

| I like the varying degrees of motion blur and motion panning. there's a larger sense of "spin" here besides the wheels spinning. Best bike pic of the challenge. 8 |
