I love the composition and this fits the challenge very well. I cant put my finger on it but something is just a little off. Perhaps the focus is not sharply on the eye, but more on the shoulders and back. And while the softness of the focus and color fits the subject, it hurts the impact of the photo.

Blues contrast nicely with the browns. Soft face adds to the gentle stereotype of the doe.
