 These are miniature pinwheels that I got a pack of 12 for 99 cents. What a deal! I stuck them in styrofoam and my husband held them up in the wind. I thought I'd have to use a fan but I got lucky.

Simple but effective. The sky is beautifully exposed. I like the "diagonal" composition, and the multi-colors are really eye-catching.

There's a good amount of spinning going on. I think if you had less stalk, a closer shoyt with a tighter angle and more interesting cloud you may have got some improvement - good luck

Fantastic colors and interesting choice of subjects. There will likely be other pinwheel shots but I am sure this is unique.

The colors are nicely saturated. The composition works well and takes your eye across the frame. The sky is a nice complimentary background to the vivid subjects.

The perfectionist in me would like to see the centers of the pinwheels lined up but that is also quite nitpicky.


The challenge: While perhaps not the most unique subject it is really well done and is certain to be a ribbon winner. (Strangely enough you could pick the color from the three pinwheels to the right).

Great shot...just a shame that Mother nature would not play ball because IMO it would have been even better with a cloud free blue sky
