no money should be used.

A little too dark for me. Otherwise clean and clear.

No pics of real money allowed in this challenge....
12/07/2003 08:39:54 AM
Is this real money? I thought it was not allowed to photograph any real or real-alike money for this challenge. The photo is nice, anyway, maybe I would have used a portrait style for it, in order to show more of the coin flood.

This scored low initially because it contains money, which was not supposed to be used and also the overall shot leaves me wanting. Perhaps if it was titled to give me an idea what you were going for. The lighting is also wanting in this shot, it's too dark and almost seems underwater. The container the money is is is alos a bit confusing, it draws you in but the back is very distracting, almost looks like an ice cube on behind the bills but not quite. The overall clarity is there but the contrast is also lacking to me. I started this at a one simply because it was dark, unappealling and did not meet the challenge. Coming back I am raising the score to a 4 for the shot itself because it's not really that bad.

Against the rules, isn't it?
12/05/2003 08:15:53 PM
Special rules:
Here's the catch: you can't include any real currency (or the likeness of real currency) in your shot.
I think you may have missed this in the special rules for this challenge. A great shot otherwise.

Ignoring the fact that there shouldn't be money...Ilike the idea of the money at the btoom of the jar, the blue glass is neat, but the lighting just isn't enought. I'l like to see bright blue, and some crips definition of the coins and bills. Light that comes thru the bottle would enhance the bottle's color, It would cast blue light on the money though. If there were a way to spotlight thhe money with a warmer light it would help it to pop out from th background.

read the challenge. NO MONEY CAN BE IN THE PHOTO. To bad i cant give negative numbers....
12/04/2003 09:09:11 PM
Got to kill this one in terms of the rules - money wasn't allowed.
12/04/2003 02:31:29 PM
Technical: You already know you didn't read the rules. Underexposed. Composition is okay. Focus good. Lighting- needs more.

Personal: Marginal creativity.

My vote: 1

Good color.

I'm sure this will get annihilated for obviously not meeting the challenge rules. Regardless of that, I like the concept of looking into the change jar, but this seems quite underexposed.
12/03/2003 03:25:55 PM
Doesn't meet challenge. Not supposed to shoot coins or bills.
12/03/2003 12:02:20 PM
Rules of the challenge state you can't use real money. 1

Did you read the rules of the challenge?....

actual currency
12/03/2003 06:42:17 AM
No currency?
12/03/2003 05:53:49 AM
i am sorry, but i do see the "real currency" in your picture, and they specifically asked us not to include it... i am not going to rate this photograph.
12/03/2003 04:44:01 AM
Challenge stated no actual money to be used.
12/03/2003 04:11:57 AM
Here is the money itself again! Please read the challenge rules before post your photo.
12/03/2003 03:56:34 AM
Maybe you didn't read the challenge details...
12/03/2003 02:51:10 AM
does not meet the challenge.
12/03/2003 02:28:55 AM
The rules specifically exclude currency so you score 1
12/02/2003 10:23:48 PM
Challenge specifically stated no real currency in your shot so this really fails the challenge, sorry.
12/02/2003 08:02:20 PM
Not a bad photo, but as you've probably already been commented, the challenge was to not include currency.
12/02/2003 07:32:18 PM
Did you read the challenge description??
12/02/2003 07:16:15 PM
should have read the guidelines better...no currency was to be used
