Camera: Nikon D2X
Lens: Nikon AF-S DX Zoom-Nikkor 12-24mm f/4.0G IF-ED
Location: Los Feliz

I tried cropping this many times but ended up with this - There was a car in the way so I had to go really wide to shoot it which caused all the distortion - If I can i will go back and do it again from across the road with a longer lens. I quite like the way the paint has dripped almost making the Charlie Chaplin cry.

As the first commenter said, not something you expect from Dpc maybe.
It's original. I love it. It just says so many things.
Been looking at your work mate and it's brilliant, basically.
Nice one.

what she said. without the distortion there would have been even more "anxiety of influence" from the original painting.

This is a most excellent street shot, candid or not I don't know but don't really care. Great job :)

Nicely composed in the frame, makes you stop and look. I like how the Chaplin face is more or less level in the image, but is offset by the slight diagonal created by the door frames.

be careful, that chaplin painting is so good it competes with your photograph. still, your composition and juxtaposition are just right, as are the b/w tones. you are clearly a master. 10

This is just great. I don't know if it was setup or not and it doesn't matter. The B&W and tones do it justice.

Right then, joke's on me as I now have to plough through 564 images and bump them all (yes, all of them) up. There'll be a third run through for fine tuning.

Good candid street - 8
