those would be catchlights in the cateyes... if you ever see your kitty's eyes glow without benefit of a light shone in them.... RUN!

This should have done better. I really like the lighting and colors here. Very nice job!

I like this shot a lot, but I scored it a little low, because I really didn't see obvious use of multiple light sources. It looks to me like the light is all coming in through a window. I love the colors and the contrast, and you captured the cat nicely. I like the crop too. Fortunately, the most of the voters didn't agree with me, and you finished very well. Congratulations.

The eyes are the first thing that grab me with this one. I would like to see the kitty's front paws more in the light and I'm not sure about the border, but that's just my opinian, cool shot!

Awwwww, I am sorry to see this one on the 6th page :( I thought it would score much higher! I love this one!

Very nice shot. I love the darkness and the color. I think what's interesting is the low contrast that makes the cat almost blend into the background.

Looks like a single light source to me (the window)...
Since it's a segmented window it might be considered as multiple light source, so why not. Fine for me. Nice cat. 6

This has a natural softness I really like. I suppose the cat's eyes could glow more, but they stand out well enough. Great rug background, too.

Seems to be a bit oversharpened creating distracting highlights.

The pattern of light is fun, even though I would ordinarily prefer a solid background for a patterned cat. All the warm tones make it work together pretty nicely, and the eyes stand out beautifully. Looks like some parts of the image are somewhat oversharp and some over-smooth, but that could be me.

The composition and play of light could lend this image a nice mood, but I think what appears to be too much sharpening is very distracting.

Nice pet photo. but I can only tell one light source: the sun through a window...

Ooooooh, I like this one! It has a very haunting quality, but in a good way! I love your composition!

Great capture! I wish the background didn't compete so much, but then... since when can you place a kitty for a photo shoot in ideal settings LOL 8

Looks a tad oversharpened, but still a great image. I love the eyes!

I see the catchlight from a flash so multiple light sources appear to be in use- but I just can't call that a "key factor" in the composition here.
