Challenge: Soft Focus (Classic Editing)

As a preface, I don't have the access to tons of subjects, nor do I think I would take nice portraits.

This is my attempt to show that period of time, that limbo between hitting the snooze and hearing the alarm and getting up at seven. Come to think of it- I would love to get up at seven.

I don't think this is a great photo - but it's a great entry for this challenge. Hope you score that high, though I suspect you won't. Placement of the figures in the frame shows thought too - good stuff.

yes- my clock looks like that in the morning too. It should read 5:59 though to give the sensation that this is waaay to early to be waking up. Not a bad image, really - it tells a great story.

And then the alarm goes off. Ouch! On days off that time of day is so nice but if I have to go to work not so. A tad unfocused.

C'mon, it's 6:59 and you're still snoozin'!?!?! Anyway, I'd bet this gets blasted, but not by me. Made me laugh.

would have looked better off-set a little more, so it was on the 1/3 line. Looks more like a camera shake at a long exposure, than a soft-focus shot. Sorry.

Well the numbers do have a softness to them, as well as a slight blur. They're not exactly in the middle so that's good. There are a few people out there that appreciate this kind of photography, but it just doesnt really grab me. Stylistic but it holds no interest for me overall, sorry.
