I am going to have to say it...
I wish the horse wasn't in the shot...
now before you send me off to the glue factory, let me just say it is because you have such an incredibly strong relationship between the woman and the poster, the statement is so precise and powerful..this is just another example of you doing more in a challenge than the challenge..
and yeah, I wish the horse wasn't in the shot, and the woman wished she looked like the poster, and so all we are doing is ignoring what really is and searching for what really isn't, so why oh why I do want the horse to be gone?
well the truth be told I kinda wish you'd cropped out the dork beside the poster babe too...

That's an extra point, no, I think that's the whole point of this shot: how much time/attention/consideration are you (and by you I don't mean you in particular) willing to give to the real person/human, instead to the pop/served "beauty"? |

In a challenge full of "beautiful people", this hit like a tonne of bricks. Way to go Nick, there's a few of us here who understand your vision :) |

well, i would say this is a bit complex or rather very busy for this challenge ;)
i like the composition that makes you go through many colourful layers to reach to the almost monocoloured main subject kind of reflecting her mood, the title fits really well with this experience and her expression is what makes this picture really worthwhile i think.
i do like this picture, hope it's not getting too slammed. |

wow - I looked at a LOT of things before I found your subject! It's like a photographic where's waldo. I wonder if that's a good thing. |

Highly rated already, but came back to comment. Wow, what a kick to the stomach this is. The title says a lot, however the image alone speaks volumes all the same. A portrait of a vain society. |

IMHO, this is a snapshot, not a portrait |

Very, very busy, and I really wouldn't consider it a portrait. |

Very bewildering, I haven't a clue where the subject is in this shot! :) but it's very, VERY interesint to study! |

Too bad the horses (well could have cropped) but the feathers . . were in the way - not sure you could have cloned them out or if they'd be considered a major element. Might have been a great shot otherwise. |
