 Roseland, Florida... empty lot with dead, broken trees from the hurricanes of 2004. Sad looking. Seems like so much real estate in Florida is up for sale lately. No one seems to be buying. The house next to us has been for sale for over a year. I wonder if it is the same in other states or around the world.

Ran levels and color adjustment, cropped, decided to go to black and white with channel mixer, adjusted levels again and added a light duo-tone. Added noise a couple of times then resharpened.

There will probably be awesome photos in the challenge and although I am decently happy with the entry, I am sure it won't really stand out. Such confidence! ;b

Robin, this is awesome! A perfect shot for the slight grain you've shown. The mood is so ominous and perfect for that effect!

i love the use of grain in this image - especially in the sky - it really adds an almost three dimensional look around the posts

This photo seems to have a ghost town feel to it because of the gnarled dead trees that are leaning. The for sale signs are a nice touch. The grain/noise definately had an impact on this photo with the dark sky. That really helped give it the eerie deserted feeling. I love the green tinge that this photo has. That added to the eerie feeling.
