A tripod mounted photo of the cabinet door in my dining room lit by the dining room chandelier and rotated 90 degrees.

Focal Length: 38 mm


Rotate 2 degrees CCW, Crop, Rotate 90 degrees CW, Auto levels, manual levels tweak, Curves, Reds - Black +10, Cyan -17, Magenta -17, Reduce color noise, Add noise 20% Uniform Distribution Monochromatic, USM, Black border, Resize to 640 X, Curves adjustment, a tad more USM.

A bold entry! You could even zoom in and get more macro on this and it would retain interest. With a shot of this type, if you wanted to soften the lighting without losing contrast elsewhere (with basic editing), you can try using an warm photo filter and uncheck 'preserve luminosity'. It's funny that being this literal with a literal crowd still results in an oobie! Good for you :)

good idea using grain..with a grain effect. i think the flash here is too harsh, maybe some editing would help. nice job.

I must be honest with you, I really don't like this image. The subject does not interest me and the grain/ noise seems to detract more than add to this image.
