Camera: Canon EOS-350D Rebel XT
Location: Livingroom

Aperture: 5.6
ISO: 400
Shutter: 1/200

All I did post processing was levels and brighten/contrast. I really didn't want to mess with it too much. I'm trying to see if I can do good directly from camera. It's new so I got the exposure I wanted off a bit.

This is a good portrait but including her hand whilst taking more of the top would have improved it. Also you say you want to get better images directly from the camera, well this is all very well and nothing beats an initial good exposure but I'm afraid to say with digital photography you HAVE to post process in most cases to get the most out of your pictures. It's not easy but well worth perservering. Anyway good luck and keep on enjoying your photography!

Honestly? I don't think the title fits her expression. It looks more like curiosity to me or as if someone just called her name and she's turned to see who it is. Nevertheless, she's a cute kid and this is a nice capture of her.

Right then, joke's on me as I now have to plough through 564 images and bump them all (yes, all of them) up. There'll be a third run through for fine tuning. It's day two three four now and I'm running late, sorry.

the crop doesn't seem quite right... can't quite put my finger on it. I think either frame subject in center looking over shoulder with this crop, or if on right side of frame, crop much tighter. just a thought.
