 As soon as I saw "Furniture" as a challenge I knew i wanted to take a chair (or a bed .. good luck) into unfamiliar territory. Once again a simple solutin was right in front of my nose - this is a baby rocking chair (I'm not sure if people will notice that). I think as soon as you remove something from its familiar place it has more meaning and generates thought. This is muddy snow / ice that was pushed in by Lake Erie - this is on my way to work after dropping my daughter off at the babysitter. My ducky shot was also done in this park so hopefully the luck will continue. There was probably 10000 ways to postprocess this one but i decided to go with the high key exposure because I'm tired of sunrises / sunsets and I couldn't get a decent sillouhette out of what i had- This is a hazy sunrise but in order to get a realistic looking chair i needed to up the exposure on everything. I like to predict scores so I'm gonna go 6.2. What the heck though, for some reason I feel like there's a small chance this might get more attention. PS: that is a flock of birds in the distance - they really aren't that far away, the 10-20mm lens just makes them look like that ;l but I think the abstractness adds to the other worldliness of this. After writing this I realize that I quite like this image ;P

beautifully compelling -- love the shades -- would have been spectacular if you could have gotten that green in the chair to pop a little more --

Nice, surreal feel, the rocker seems a little to "enhanced", the colors and USM, but that also adds to the feel. The birds are a big plus. 9.
