This is the home of the Springfield Cardinals, a member of the Texas League. (Minor League Baseball) Here is a link to their website:

(I wish I had taken my zoom lens, but now I have an excuse to back.)

I love pictures of ballparks. I'd love to travel the country and photograph as many as I could. I can almost hear the crack of the bat and the pop of the catcher's mit. Thanks.

Yayyy Baseballl!!! Baseball is a HUGE part of our family's history and life. But ummmm. . . the Cardinals. . ..I guess if ya have to :) (juuuuuuuuuuuuuust kidding -- we are inordinate Houston Astros fans)

We have a Texas League team here too -- the San Antonio Missions, who are a farm team of the Seattle Mariners. When the Missions play your Cardinals, I'll think of you :)

I have enjoyed your pictures (and you) so much! You did such a great job of making Springfield look like a great place to live and visit.

I was going to say the same thing about not having the zoom.
Sometimes they are over rated and you just get used to having them.
and then you end up missing the whole picture.

Kinda nice you didn't have the zoom - that way we get to see the whole thing. If I were the designer of this place, I think I'd have gone with a darker green, though the color they did use is quite cheery on a gloomy day.
