I really thought this one would have been one of the top three. The only thing that brought it down to an 8 for me was that he didn't look dead to me. More like he just nodded out. A little bluing of the lips perhaps some discoloration of the skin near the needle would have given me more of a dead vibe. |

like the idea, would be better if more of the needle was in focus. |

Powerful image. Well done. Without the challenge rules it might be nice to have a little less brightness on the end of the syringe. Good luck! |

This is an extremely powerful shot... great lighting, I love the DOF... Personally I think something that could be improved is the lips... I fell that they are too dark red, and maybe you were going for that... but... I think lowering the red a bit might have helped as I am distracted from the needle by the lips... thats just my opinion though. A very solid -9- Good Luck! |

A striking, poignant image, with painful sharpness at the focal point. While I really loved your message, I admit, I had to shudder at the image itself! Eek! |

I love a "smack "related entry. a bit more focus is needed somewhere. for example, the face of the junkie is just as out of focus as the bicep. Otherwise, its pretty good. |

A very strong message against drug abuse. I like the narrow DOF and the clarity of the seringe against the darker and blurred background, with a young men who really does not feel well. Not sure it is propaganda, I usually consider that to be a positive message about something which really is not positive. 8 |

This is a very POWERFUL picture that just SCREAMS propaganda!! I know the blurring effect was probably intentional, but I would like to have seen a little more focus on the syringe. Maybe taking the picture at a different angle would have captured more of the syringe clearly. With that said, so far, this is the only photo that has given me a powerful message!! Wonderful creativity!!! 9 |

I wish more could have been clear here, but then again in that state nothing is very clear. Thanks for reminding me..:) |

You did a good job on this. Not too graphic. Enough information to know what's up. The colors help reinforce the theme. The selective focus is perfect, giving everything that dreamy feeling one gets when high. It might be a little better with the needle part more in focus. Hope this does well. If my vote counted, this would be a 10. |

Good shot. Would liked to have the syringe a little more in focus. |

I really like your shot. Personally, the one thing that holds your shot back from being very very good is the blown out top to the needle. My eye is drawn to the part of the needle in focus, but then at the same time is distracted by the very bright top to the needle. With that small adjustment I could see this possibly being of winning quality. Nice work. |

You might get slammed for this, but I think it's a good shot, no pun intended. :) |

Great use of shock tactics. Because of the patients own narrow focus on the contents of the syringe everything else, including his health, is rubbed out - I think the DOF choice really shows that. |

I like the focal point being on the drug and face in back. Great shot. |

The narrow depth of field works very well here. Disturbing photo ... therefore works well for this. |

The DOF is a little too shallow for my liking. The scene is fantastic! Great propaganda! |
