 OTOH ... common internet/texting acronym (abbreviation) for "on the other hand".

Shot myself with the camera tripod mounting using Remote Capture to ease the trial-and-error process and wireless remote trigger (Adidt R3) with 2-second timer to capture. Took me about 15 minutes and 20 shots to get the placement right. Took about 45 shots total, of which a handful (no pun intended) were composed properly.

RAW conversion in ACR 4.0 - only tweaks from "as shot" were bumping up blacks and a touch of Recovery to make the sun a more defined "ball"

Final processing in CS3:
Selective Color adjustment layer to further deepen blacks
Curves adjustment layer to lift midtone color near silhouette
Burned highlights a bit to diminish solar flare a bit
Saturation adjustment layer - +20 (Master)
Noiseware Pro at default setting
Smart Sharpen (185%/0.9/0 Lens Blur, Basic Mode)
Resize to 640 & very mild Smart Sharpen
Added vertical border for letterbox effect
Convert to 8-bit sRGB and save for web

I thought this was one of the more creative shots in the challenge. I gave it a nine and I'm surprised it didn't do better in the voting. This is an image you can be proud of, though.
