| Ah, mindless patriotism. Nice meaning, nicelighting - the light on the blank faces and on the flat of the hands as they point to the corner (nice composition too) Would have looked cool with a long line of these "patriots" fading into the background with a shallow DOF - with just two of them I think it would be better if both were sharp. I like this very much. 8 |

| Love the lighting, and nice and strong propaganda wise. A minor critism is that I would have preferred the DOF to be either substantially more Or less, so the far dummy was far mor eout of focus, or crisper, but that is a very minor critism. Great work. |

| i think these figures are overused, and in my opinion lacks a creative element that I look for in photos. Although, as a shot it is nice. |

Well, that association with the second world war and germany was right, but up to your message about it I didn't catch the meaning of this photo/ propaganda. I think you are right about this issue, to many people do things and believe things blindly as long as leaders name it "xxx against terrorism / anti-terrorism measures" etc. The terms are abused and the abusers seem to get away with it. But for how long? At one point one has to ask what is worse, the terrorism or the counter measures that affect the people who it is supposed to protect.
Well, that's a discussion for the political sites and forums, now that I am writing here again I'd like to say a bit more about the photo too.
I like it how you filled the frame, it puts the figures and their long stretched arms right in your face. The figures/camera are/is positioned at a good angle, it creates depth and avoids a flat looking image.
The lighting is done really well, just as the b&w toning.
I only wonder if the aperture choice was optimal. At one hand I like this version, where there is a slight blur of the second figure. But on the other hand I wonder how it looks if both were in the field of focus. I can image that the scene would become too hard, too sharp and lose some 'emotion'.

| Excellent! The reference to Nazi Germany is very clear. How apropos that wooden figures are used to represent the people. Technically, framed well but the dof could be a expanded to capture the figure in the background with more clarity. |

| the picture is not bad, but it's not clear if the two figures represent the terrorists or those against terror? since the raised right arm itself was the sign of terrorists (nazis) ... |

Aside from that, I like the way you set this up, the lighting works for me, as does the whole black and white thing. Great job :) |
