 I painted this on canvas paper for this challenge and then photographed it. I muddied up the area with the dots on purpose to have the 'ruler' stand out.

Hi Tlemetry, I think your photo shows a lot of artistic vision. It is very difficult to photograph something you have created. Your concept is prefect for the challenge. The use of thirds draws the eye into the photo. I like the basic colors you chose; they are simple but easily understood. I was trying to determine if I like the image with the border or without. After stepping back and looking at it, I think the border ties the image together, without it the dots would not be contained and might appear to run off. So I would totally agree with your choice. I really like the angle and concept. Best of luck in the future.

I would have voted higher had their been better light on the colors to make them stand out. It seems kinda flat.
