I'm sorry but I have never liked the over processed psychedelic type shots like this. It is overexposed terribly. It's impossible to see if the feathers are in focus or not in the foreground. Without any photographers comments I don't know what you are trying to achieve here either. I'm sorry if this is not very helpful.

I cannot believe you placed last. I do not think people took the time to look at this to get the feel for what you where going for. The pun may have thrown them off. This photo was by far better technically than many that placed higher and it was for certain leaps and bounds better than many other poor examples of literalism.
You should have placed much much better.

I love tis photo. The colors really make it feel illuminated. It is a bit grainy though, and I feel the focus could have been a bit sharper up front. -7- |

Too much editing, making it hard to see any real detail. sorry. |

The colour treatment you have selected is interesting although very hard on the eyes. This is probably the most difficult photo to study visually. You may want to decrease contrast if you try something like this again. |

Interesting play on the 'light' part of the phrase. I would only add a little more black on the right upper side to balance to bright feather. |

I like the colors in this shot... but it seems a little 'overdone' or maybe overexposed on the lightest green... the details of the feathers are lost here. |

I love the electric blue against the dark, but the cyan is too bright and all deatil is lost. Just that small bit of fragile blue really suggests "light as a feather." |

Interesting effect. Has an ice crystal or fractal feel. |

While I think you have picked a great literalism your portrayal of it is a little lacking. This to me does not show in any way how light the feather is and the feather seems to have a lot of noise in it. A little photo editing program might have helped. |

Whoa....what is this supposed to be? The effect you were going for isn't working for me, its hard to tell what this picture is supposed to represent. The title you are working with suggests that maybe if you had a feather on a weighing meter it would make sense |

The color mix and brightness suggests this was played around with in editing software. Whereas the idea of having feathers in the image coupled with the common phrase is good, I personally dislike color-manipulated images of this fashion. I'm sure some people like it and can give you some honest and good feedback, but this just isnt my cup of tea. |
