the salesman is not happy, he has many things to sell, you know everything is 20-60% off storewide and he is a man who takes his job seriously. He was head down and on a mission to pick up goods, time is money is his mantra and business is moving at break neck speed, in the back of his head he knew putting up a few more balloons outside would help him with sales this day. He looks up... who the fuck put this bus in the in MY loading dock!?! It is obvious some moron has parked in the no parking/loading zone area, the salesman is pissed and contemplates how he is going to do bodily harm to the driver of said van if he does not move immediately, maybe a swift kick to the crotch, maybe slash his tires but he realizes that this would only impede his own progress and would only make him more upset. In this instant he decides his red tie is no longer the lucky charm it used to be... |

To heck with the result... the idea is worth it. Your photos are generally interesting and your eye for a drama is very good. |

I didnt not edit this photograph based on "some minimalistic theory" but for the reason that editing did not increase the "impact" of the image for me. The reason I want to edit my images less it to pesent the scene for what it is and not edit for the sake of it. I am not looking to restrict myself at all but to force myself to make better decisions when composing my images rather than really on post processing to fix my mistakes.
Obviously there is going to be scenes and situations where rather heavy PP is required to bring out the beauty in the image, most likely more often than not.
I am interested to know what you would have done to this image to improve it.

a fine photo that also asks the viewer to inquire within.
why you don't like to edit photos is another question altogether. shooting the best as possible out of camera is fine with me, and i do my best, but to limit the possibilties of impact based on some minimalistic theory is beyond me. especially from someone with some serious talent.

I wondered whose this was. To me it's a very intriquing picture - why in the world did he stop there? Why is he still standing there? He's perfectly placed in the composition, which has a myriad of supporting elements. Nice use of red, too, by the way. Ties it all together very well. |

An excellent street shot image but IMHO lacks a little of the "wow" factor many look for in a Free Challenge. |
