 Taken at my In-law's home in Huntingdon, PA.

In camera before taking the shot: +1/3 exposure. Boosted sharpening, contrast and saturation. Used a circular polarizer to bring out the blue sky in the background.

Post Processing: Resized once.

I like the minimal editing thingy. Makes you get more creative and more involved in the taking of the photo.

And after showing my mother-in-law the photo, she informed me that it's an apple tree, not a cherry tree. :)

What a perfect kitty shot! Anyone who has tried to take a photo of an all white or all black cat knows how hard it is. You found the perfect lighting and background for this gorgeous shot. Purrrfect detail and exposure.

That is the shot I liked best in this challenge - the contrast in colors between the sky and the cat ist great.

I really thought this would ribbon, considering it was a minimal editing challenge it is stunning but as you will find on here there are a lot of people who just see a kitty cat and vote it down which is a pity. Great finish for your first challenge though, look forward to seeing more entries from you.

Thank you for all the great comments, everybody. I had a blast taking the shots that day, as Mack puts on a great show. He loves climbing around in the fruit trees. And I got so lucky that there was a beautiful blue sky that day to shoot him against. A top 20 finish in my first challenge here, I'm a happy boy.

Wonderful!!This is my pick for the blue! I'd love it in any challenge but it's even more exceptional in this Minimal Editing challenge!! How on earth did you get such a beautiful blue sky like that, yet the cat is a lovely white with no over-exposed areas? I hope you'll share you secrets with us!
