 There are a couple flaws on her skin, in particular by the nose, and a couple hairs, that I would just LOVE to fix!!! I have a fixed version, uploaded it, and it looks so much better; took it down again and uploaded this version. BUMMER!!! Fixing a couple hairs and skin blemishes should be legal, guys, common!!!

Original was in colour. Cropped, adjusted, converted to b/w, sharpened, and ran through NeatImage (setting quite high, to soften the skin - got the hair looking a bit funny). Then I blurred a bit more, ran through salt and pepper filter, colourized, adjusted brightness/contrast a bit, and added border.

This is an excellent shot! Great lighting. I agree with you about the editing restrictions... drives me nuts! Congrats on a nice image.

The tone is good, I like the focus, it has a nice soft feel to it. I realise the thing on the side of her face is the grapevine, but it kinda looks odd in the shot. The lighting is also good. It's an odd photo to vote on. Without the grapevine it would be a very pretty portrait but off topic, and yet with the grapevine it's on topic but has a fairly large distraction. I like it anyways!

Nice soft shades and a pretty model. The expression really says "listening". Wish I had thought of it because we have lots of wild grape vines around here.

fairie lighting - soft and shimmering, I like how the curce of hair mimics the curve of the vine, and her eyes make it look like she is listenning. Wish the "vine" came out more into the white space. 8

The composition in this shot is great and so is the lighting.... too bad you over did it on the MeatImage. :-( Still an 8 from me

I like the smooth tones here and the angle you chose. A good literalism as well, though the grapevine itself is not as clearly represented by the artificial one you have here (actually, the easist part to recognize and the part that works best is that curl at the bottom.)

I love the softness in this image. The model also has a genuinly inquisitive look that really captures the literalism of the title.
