Greetings from the Critique Club
Hi Slavik. I like the way you set this up. Composition is good. The subjects are centered but your use of shadow DOF helps to push the focal point off-center which makes this work.
Lighting is also good but you did clip the highlights somewhat. Just lower the light intensity or diffuse it more to keep that from happening.
Overall the image is solid. Good lighting, composition, color and contrast. It also fits the challenge, IMO. Your score however doesn't reflect your good points so much as it reflects your chosen subject. Toys, figurines, statues and the like are very difficult to do well with regardless of how well it's shot. So if you plan on shooting something like this again and want to improve your score you may want to incorporate a more clever idea or do some more things with the lighting to win you creativity points. You're definitely on the right track looking at some of your other entries so just keep at it. |
