I expect a lot of DNMC comments. The tree is there, but reflected in the water. I just really like this shot and am going with it.

There must be at least 3 ways to make a tree interesting, I like this picture. I small thing the head of the hereon is a little oof (< little OOF, LOL), otherwise perfect..

Look at those comments - a lot of people really loved this photo! I found it a bit soft for my taste, and would like to see the whole reflection of the heron, but I thought the subtle quality of the tree reflection was brilliant. Interesting OOB entry!

This is an interesting take on the challenge. Why isn't the water frozen? It is here.

The title does help me contextually since it has an expressionistic feel to it but that bird is just so grey - it leaves me wanting more color and ... I can't quite think of a good word .. how bout softness.

Very original, the tree is a subtle yet integral part of the composition.
