 First I want to thank everyone for the wonderful comments and high scores. I did not have time to respond or edit this due to a last minute trip out of the country. During that time I either did not have access to the Internet or it was outrageously expensive.

This was taken while crossing the street. These firemen were walking back and forth from engine to engine. This is one of my first shots of many. I still had my 55-200m lenses on for the first shots because I did not have time to change it out from taking a shot of something entirely different, but I had it opened up at the lowest, 55m. My husband liked this one so much that I did not even consider or even look at some of my other shots I took during this outing until after I submitted this one. I only had about an hour to get this submitted since I was packing and running errands for my trip. I actually have a better PP shot that I uploaded after this was submitted. This was a last minute attempt to get some shots for this challenge and for the Free Study and I unexpectedly came across one for the LOVE challenge. I kind of think this fits more in the photojournalist genre more so than street photography then again maybe not. I am very happy with the results and I had fun taking these kinds of shots and look forward to doing more and improving on them.

Firemen are my heros. I have great respect for their braveness and sacrifice to save lives.

Men in uniform, mmmmmm, always a good choice in my book!! I think this is a really great shot (not just because of the hunky firemen!!), I like the action in the background and it looks great in black and white. Fab!!

In my opinion a wonderful shot, it does what I want street photography to do, tells a story shows a moment of life captured forever by the eyes of the photographer. Great job. 9

You were right in the middle of the action! (Or is there a telephoto at work here?) I'm surprised that there isn't snow on the ground in Denver.
