greetings from the critique club!
i really like this shot in a number of ways. the nighttime scene and the silhouettes work well with the color tones that you have left in the shot.
my biggest suggestion here concerns the top 1/3 or so of the photo. i'm a big fan of "white space," but everything above the streetlight is lost. there's some definition there, but not enough to see what it is. it's almost frustrating.
the real gem area of the shot, IMHO, is the cobblestones up to the streetlight. there's enough empty area in there that it wouldn't be focused on the silhouettes, but it would rework the composition so that the viewer's eye knows exactly where to land. i hope that makes sense.
in any event, this is a nice take on the challenge. the addition of color (albeit muted color) and the absence of commotion is different from what i would expect, but i still think it fits the challenge quite nicely. great work.

| Nice idea that meets the challenge well, but I think its a little too dark. I know that it is street photography at night, but the highlights are awkwardly placed, and do very little to provide interest to the image. I'd like to see this one exposed a little longer to bring out some of the detail in the buildings, the color of that sky and the crispness of those cobblestones. Nice idea, and with better execution, this one would have been a great deal stronger. |

| This is a very nice night shot. That's an interesting idea since most are daylight shots. The glistning of the pavement really adds a nice effect. 7 |

| Terrific night shot. The movement of the people makes it for me in combination with the complementary blue/gold tones. NICE. |
