Ewww. This takes me back to Jr. high. . .I really like your focus on this one. Typically, the subject is in front and focused, and the background blurred, but this is almost completely reversed. Nicely done. I think this would make a cool textbook picture. I am also hereby declaring you dpc's most underrated photographer. All of your pictures are *good* technically, emotionally (that is, they get a response), compositionally, the voters just haven't discovered you yet. KEEP SHOOTING, it's not always the dpc scores that matter. |

awwwwwwwwww thanks team mates!
it's very real Hanae, was just taken AFTER school with one of my students.
Thanks so very much rinac and jude> I too thought it exuded SCHOOL biology. But, I wish I'da gone with the small crop of mostly disection with wet frog...BUT I also liked the community college Tshirt she was wearing (totally accidental) and I left the fuzzy clutter (all things one definetly uses in biology lab) and dof because I felt what Rinac did...threw me right into the frog...alas, sigh, others did not like the DOF at all and wanted the 'clutter' removed..shrugs...
love you all! |

You handled the lighting really well. Great dof, leads me straight in there. Nicely done Sonya, from one of your 29 7s! |

I can't really see the dissection - too much going on in this picture. Well lit though. |

Oh, this brings back memories... eww! A bit too much "stuff" in the foreground, but I don't think you could meet the challenge any better with the subject! |

Interesting angle. With all of the out-of-focus clutter in the foreground, it makes me feel like the "dissector" is disorganized, and doesn't know what he/she is doing. I like this effect. |

I like where this photo is going. I imagine myself sitting at the end of the bench looking at whats going on. I think it needs to be framed a little better to see the subject more clearly and to delete some of the clutter in the foreground. There is also a yellow cast distracting. |

A good concept and relevant subject matter. But, the composition doesn't wok for me with the most part of the foreground out of focus ad distracting |

too busy, and the subject is too close to the edge of the photo. When i look to this foto, i have the impression that the tshirt is the main subject |

Good shot overall. I think the microscope and other out of focus tools up front kind of take away from the image though. I think it could have been stronger had it just been the kid and the frog. |

too much clutter to left, closer look at the disection would have been much better. C+ |

Wow looks like you had perfect access to a perfect setting but I feel the foreground items and half microscope distract too much rather than set the scene. Nice lighting. |
