The view south on main st. LaBelle Fl. this afternoon at about 1: PM. About 2/3 of the local streets are tree covered like this one. This street had Christmas lights in the lower limbs of all of the trees for about 2 years, but they are no longer working. I guess a bulb blew, and no one wants to see if they can find which one. It looked very nice at night when they were on, a lot like a starry sky.
The guy walking across the street is a boater with LP gas and a fuel can. The river is right behind me in this view, and the library and public dock on the left. There is a church and middle school about where the man is walking, on the right, and the post office is on the left there. More contrast looks good in the trees, but it washes out the road, so this is a compromise. This isn't the best looking street like this, but it being "Main" St, it is the one that I chose for this. Maybe better looking one will be in another day of shooting. We have a festival coming up the 24th. |

| Thanks for your comment on my day 13. I do have a 300mm zoom, which I intend to use. Anyway, I love the tree frame on this. A bit less exposure and more saturation and contrast on those trees would make them really come alive with wonderful patterns and detail. |

Boy those beautiful trees sure make a great background for the flag. It really pops because of the background. Nice to read a little history about the location. Thanks.
