This is the
The Miller House
This house & cabin were built at the turn of the century by Robert E. Miller, First supervisor of the Teton National Forest. In 1915 the Fish and Wildlife Service purchased the building and 1240 Acres as the nucleus for the National Elk Refuge in an effort to preserve elk winter range in Jackson Hole. Through the efforts of the Teton County Historical society the house was placed on the National Register of Historical Places in 1969.

Wow that's vast and wintery looking. Seems like the sky is running down the mountains. I love the colors. Great shot.

A nice angle and history in your comments. You may try metering for the sky and then brightening the foreground in PP using masks and levels. Meaning brighten the whole image then erase the parts where the sky is.

Beautiful setting, and it must have been lonely there when this home was first in use. I agree with crop the top down to the snow line, and let people wonder how high the mountains are behind the house. This would be terrific on a clear day and with a polarizer.

Now that would really be a great homestead. I like the mountains.

Wonderful perspective.

A note on the photo itself - it's seems way too light for some reason, so we're missing the the tops of the hill they seem to have merged with the sky. More contrast might do the trick.

Nice lines on the house and tables. Wonder if there was less sky if it would bring the eye even more so to the house.
