 Thanks for all the great comments I was hoping this would ribbon so we all could have a laugh on the home page.

Yes they are real !! after a long dry spell we had some heavy rain last week and with it came the frogs....and all I can say is they make a lot of noise !!

Our whole family were kept awake with dozens of these frogs having a all night session :)

These two were still at it in the morning and I was able to invade their privacy with a few snaps, they didn't seem to mind.

congrats on an excellent score and a wonderful photograph ... love the crisp, sharp, focussed heads and love their colouring .. the dof is perfect ... we get frogs around here after rain and yeah .. they are noisy buggers!!! .. but we dont get beautiful colourful ones like these two .. ours are usually a dirty muddy unpleasant brown colour and very occasionally the plain green ones ... this is a great capture and extremely funny ..
edit ... i find this pretty funny, but i'm thinking that some ppl might find it offensive, coz i thought dpc had rules and regs about porn ... i suppose the fact that you cant see their 'areas' makes this an artistic, tasteful and acceptable image!!! .. lol ... :)

haha...I'm sad i didn't get a chance to vote in this challenge. This is a great photo. Besides all of the great technicals...the subject is just funny and on point. Great job..and keep up the great work.

Tim, this is so unbelievable that you were able to capture such an incredibly composed shot -- candidly. That is so funny!

Man. . they sure don't seem to give a hoot that you were there either do they?

I thought you are the blue ribbon holder. Anyway you grab the red. Congrats!I gave 10 out of 10. Unfortunatly frogs eyes say nothing of it action, if it so this would have been a A class photograph.

WAit ... this is fake right? ... and people thought it was real? ... wow. Very high score. My eyes first said fake but then I questioned whether fake frogs could "score" ... huh huh huh .. this well ;) ..

I like the colors in this picture. I feel like they are slightly muted however. It would look great if you could lighten the top frog and the background of the picture a little bit.

Eugh. I never liked these photos (by which I mean mating frogs) in my bio textbook either. But the fact that you took a photo that could be in a textbook definitely gets you a high score from me.

Love the shot - Funny title but just wish for a bit less distraction the "bits" around the courting couple were removed. Great colours.
