Afternoon and studio lighting.

Post: Convert from raw in PSElements 3.0 with a +0.33 exposure compensation. Layer adjustments for levels, brightness/contrast and hue/saturation. Layer of curves adjustment. Selected the yellow and the red pepper below and to the yellow's left and applied neat image. Spot edited to reduce catch lights. Sharpen. Resize. Sharpen.

Of the "still Life" shots in this challenge, I thought that this one stood out as the best. I like the subtle lighting, and clarity/sharpness is spot-on. I looked at this one on multiple monitors, and with a darker profile - it loses a lot of it's "pop" (infact, they look like two completely different shots). Hopefully most voters have bright profiles! Good luck... it's a great image :O)

First: It's delicious! Second: The line of the upper pepper seems to compete with the pear's direction and the yellow pepper stem - I wish the pear was more to the right because my eye remains at that intersection, while there is so much more to look at. The stem of the grapes lead me into tho photo, but that intersection stops me from looking at the whole photograph. Still a great photo 9 - you should see mine UGH!
