 I had some other ideas for this challenge but when I went to visit a friend today I found these growing in her greenhouse. How cool is that?! I just loved the color of the starfruit in contrast to the sky and the perspective and DOF emphasizing the star look. Just used the sunlight that was there and tried very hard not to step on or damage anything while maneuvering the camera under the fruit.

PP - converted from RAW, cropped, increased saturation and contrast, colorized some of the white on the right to be more blue, dodged a spine a little, added border, resized, sharpened

Post PP - ate the model. It was delicious :-)

This is so pretty! I love what you did with the blur and how the fruit fades into it. And I love those pretty blue colors too!

You were robbed. And I can't see how the blurry part could drag it down ... focus is clear to me.

one of my faves in this challenge - absolutely love the colours, the dof, the composition

3 - Nice composition, colors and concept, however it is too blurry to decipher the focal point, and even the bokeh - which looks like good potential. Looks like you took it 'in situ' - perhaps a tripod or something may have helped and/or no wind (if apt).

I would really like this if the fruit was in focus. The Shallow DOF would be really nice.

On the vine...cool..as an ex Pastry chef in Toronto I have used many a hard not tasty star fruit and always wondered how nice they must be fresh off the vine
