I am not too worried about the score on this image. My son was practicing and I snuck in and took some pictures. He noticed me snapping away but kept practicing anyway. I figure about a 6.0 - good contrast, decent perspective, and small number of challenge entries...

1. Converted from Raw to JPEG in CS2 - used curves, adjusted exposure. Saved as Jpeg.
2. Opened JPEG in Elements 3.0
3. Adjust levels, Bri/Cont, Hue Sat
4. Cropped
5. USM
6. Save for web (resize to 640 and <150kb)

I agree about the lamp, I think its a little too bright so it takes focus away from therest of the shot, however I love the lighting on the rest of the photo and this is a fantastic perspective

I love the angle of this and I love that it's b/w. But the lamp is a little distracting to me.

Neat perspective. I like that you've done something unusal to set your photo apart. Good work.

I wish the light wasn't there, but the child's expression makes up for that. My favorite part of the photo...the child's feet hardly hit the floor. Great capture! 9

I love the angle you have used here, it makes the Grand look very imposing!

I love the angle on this...the child seems dwarfed by the piano which looms huge from this camera point. I also like the fact that his feet don't touch the ground - a very sweet touch.

Wonderful expression, nice tones.
All I can find to improve is the shady corner down right.
Maybe shove a little more light there to make it match with the walls and ceiling.

Kudos for black and white. I wish more people used this when there are distracting elements in the picture...like life.
