Critique Club Time,
Welcome to DPC, Timothy.
Will not try to get too much into your very personal views on royalty and kingly attitudes and therefore will not bore you discussing the “conformity level” of your entry.
The space dedicated to your main subject, I think, is a tad incongruous. If the surrounding space would have been a valorizing and luxuriant setting for your monarch this would not be questionable but in this image the “negative space” dangerously flirts with non-existence. I would like to see more of this creature, feel the feather texture and the expression in his eye. Whether this was possible, at the time, or not, I don’t know.
Here is a rule of thumb of “classic” photography that proves to be useful most of the time: If the space surrounding you main subject is not adequately contextual to your message or intent, zoom in.
I wish you success for your next entries in the challenge.
JJ

From the literary perspective, I don't get it, (though I'm by no means a scholar of British legend). Nice shot of the Canada Goose though! I love the color family match (Grass to Water) and the color contrast of the goose to them both. Frankly one of the better pictures I've seen of a grounded goose. |

Casual, but very nice. Good use of the rule of thirds... 7 |

Not sure how this fits the book title, but it's a nice shot anyway. |

This is wonderful! You can see the royal attitude of this subject for sure, it fits your title perfectly, great angle I like the subject being off center good choice. |

I like your composition - water and grass, and the goose standing regally on the thirds line. I this it would be more powerful more saturated - it is very bright and gray. |

Cute. Good dof. Am I missing something? How do you relate a goose with a king? It will not affect your score one way or the other, curious is all. |

Where are the round table? And the sword, where are? Ok may be the goose be a ride of Arthur King. But I really can´t understend it! |

I love the choice of book title for this and i think the photo is great too. It has all the elements of good design. |

Good Points: Like the blured grass in the FG, quite good focus.
Bad Points: A 10 to a penny shot really and not really king arthur to me
Overall: 3 |
