"Seberity" is a great first attempt at the challenges here at DPC. It is amazing the amount you learn by entering these challenges, and you have taken the hardest step in my opinion by putting your first piece out there.

I think you have an excellent subject here. This looks like an extremely peaceful place to relax. I think the very best thing you did with this piece was to frame up the shot with the tree and branches. The focus seems little soft, maybe you were trying to minimize the movement in the water. I think for my vote personally, I would have probably voted higher if there was more focus on one point. Also I would be really curious to see this shot from ground, more of an angle that makes the trees look over powering.

Overall this was a nice first entry I look forward to your future entries.

this image seems a little out of focus, but i love the scenery in the shot. maybe making this clearer would clean it up and make your image a lot stronger. its good tho, nice job.

This is a beautiful spot: I think you could have processed this a bit to make it more intriguing - more contrast and maybe bring out the yellows in Color Balance..?

is this a scan from a newspaper? What is this picture about?

A nice composition, but let down by overly soft focus; did you use any USM prior to saving for web? The title has lost me, I'm afraid.

photo needs sharpness and there is no real focal point. try stepping to the left or right a little to see if it adds more interest to the shot.

This has a tilted feeling to it but I like how you used the branches to frame the shot.
