Found the cig I'd used in "Morning", and stood by an open bright window.

As much as I hate smoking, it sure adds interest to a photo.

This is so strong. I love it. The dark low-key approach really works well with the subject matter. Well done.

The is awesome, Judy. I love that contrast in the half silhouette that really highlights your features. Feels like I have just walked into the room to see you about something, and disturburbed you while you're having your cigarette, you're not very happy about it. You don't say anything, you just turn your head toward me and continue smoking...

The contrast is just great... I love the dark moodiness you've created! Great lighting provides the perfect hint of your features. The diptych is very effective here, especially in your use of smaller and larger scale images. The first strikes me as distant and aloof, and the second has an almost brazen, in-your-face attitude. Even though we can't really see the eyes in that second image, we're very much aware of being held by your gaze. Well done!

oh i adore the left one so much! the shadows are so very nice and yet there is that light part where the smoke is so visible, very moody-wonderful-ness :)

Yowza.. this is fantastic. A very harsh evocative picture. Almost reminds me of a relucant interviewee in a sad documentary. Really well done. (I don't smoke either, and can't tolerate it very well, but I also think it can add much interest to a photo.)

Doesn't it? I hate smoking too, but it does tend to add a touch of the dramatic to photos. I find myself liking certain kind of smoking photos too -- like this one. This is so incredibly artistic. The lighting is perfect to show just enough detail to draw you in, and keep that wonderful high contrast look! Wow!

It is the curliques the smoke makes :) I like these suggestion shots, says, "Maybe you can see me, maybe you can't." :)
