When I saw the Bad challenge, I knew I wanted to do an image about global warming using one of the nearby refineries. Risky business mixing politics and art (or science and art) (or science and politics for that matter), so I'll probably get hammered by some right out of the box. Shot the refinery just before sunrise; was hoping to get the red sun rising behind the refinery, but couldn't get the right angle to capture that image. The sun is rising to the left in this shot, which is what gives the smoke that rosy glow.
